BIP (OBIEE 11.1.1.7): Active Directory Integration

Hello,

I am reading up on setting up an Alternative Authentication provider (Active Directory) for OBIEE 11.1.1.7. In particular the paper titled Configuring Oracle BI 11g and Weblogic for Single Sign-On using Kerberos-based Windows Authentication backed by Active Directory.

What is not clear to me is whether setting up Active Directory (AD) as a provider for OBIEE would also make BIP transparently configured to use AD.

After setting up AD as the provider, are there additional steps/setup required in Weblogic or AD side for BIP to work seamlessly?

Would appreciate your experiences and pointers to relavent documentation.
