 Hi:   I have created a dedicated database dedicated to apex and then installed the apex software on the database as well.   The developers have tested the software and all is working well.  They have now asked me to point the apex software to a database that houses contains their ERP data.  

I don't see in any apex documentation stating that I can point apex to several databases.  Do I have to install apex software on the database where the data resides or can the apex software run centrally from one location and connect to multiple databases?

Please advise.
