Inter ognizational transfer - In transit Method

We are transferring inventory quantity thru Inter organizational transfer - Intransit Method.  The in transit method does not automatically transfer the quantity  and would like to find out  how.   What process I should execute, will it be a concurrent program or how can I receive it in the receiving organization?
