Architecture decision

We are actually setting-up some key architecture decisions in terms of penalty and conditional charges; we would like to centralize all the penalty calculation into one system.

 

We have Siebel for order capture, once an order is submitted by the agent, then OSM is used for order decomposition and orchestration. Once the order is completed, OSM submit many requests to BRM and provisioning systems.

 

The key question is where can we centralize the penalty calculations?

 

Option 1- centralizes all the penalty calculation in Siebel, but then again for complex rules we have to extend the exisiting workflows. (preferred option but no idea about the Siebel flexibility)
