Oracle Database 11g Release 2 RAC On Linux Using NFS
Hi,I have a few questions regarding Oracle Database 11g Release 2 RAC On Linux Using NFS.
I take http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/oracle-db-11gr2-rac-installation-on-linux-using-nfs.php as a starting point.
1) Regarding the flash recovery area: is it recommended to use a dedicated NFS filesystem or could it be allocated in the same NFS filesystem as the database files?
2) Regarding clusterware files: is there any availability benefit by putting voting disks on different NFS filesystem, each one on a different NAS?
3) Regarding clusterware files: "Oracle Grid Infrastructure Installation Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2) for Linux" states that "Direct NFS does not support Oracle Clusterware files". Then, we should not put the NFS filesystem for clusterware files in neither the files $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/oranfstab, /etc/oranfstab, /etc/mtab?
