starting number of system control

Hi, we have around 260000 Assets which are required to be loaded as asset master in r12 from 11i. Requirement is --1) earlier asset numbers of 11i shall remain as it is in R12. 2) Retired assets are not to be migrated. Now what shall be the Starting Asset Number in R12 system control set up ?

 

If we keep same as starting number of 11i (for example-100001), we cannot load historical asset with historical invoice numbers of 11i as Automatic numbering may skip some numbers.

 

If we keep starting number as 260001 (last number after historical migration) then I can load historical invoice number as asset numbers but then my last used number after migration becomes 520001 (260001+260000). So there is a gap of 260001 in numbering.
