1. 1. In 11i , for a given contact each communication type is entered on a separate line as Oracle doesn’t have enough fields (Example: Phone #, Fax# and Cell Phone#), the upgrade process creates a contact record for each communication in R12 because of this we have duplicate contacts even though in R12 there are communication fields that can store the data.
2. If there are multiple mail stop or when there is no mail stop designated for the contacts the upgrade process is arbitrarily assigning a mail stop to the Supplier site preferred communication.
