Validating Tax-ID VIES

Hi Community,

does anyone has experience with report R74101? There are two PO which I do not understand:

Start date (Request send date): You can search a specific recordbased on the date that you send the validation request to VIES.End date (Request send date): You can search a specific recordbased on the date that you receive a validation result from VIES

Does that mean, I can validate the IDs also for the past? Am I able to validate an ID-Number with a start date 1st of Januar 2013 and end date 31st of Januar 2013 in order to see, if that number was valid at that time?
