What is the purpose of XLA_CONTROL_BALANCES table in SLA?

Hi,

    Anybody please throw some light on XLA_CONTROL_BALANCES in SLA. Is it the table simillar to GL_Balances? Is the purpose of this table is to create balance report on this table?
