Deinstalling obsolete Oracle Homes
Hi,
We have a Linux server with 4 Oracle Homes installed on it:
/opt/sw/oracle/product/11107
/opt/sw/oracle/product/111077
/opt/sw/oracle/product/11201
/opt/sw/oracle/product/11.2.0.3
Only the last one, 11.2.0.3, is used. The other 3 are obsolete and I want to remove them. Could you please confirm that the 11.1 homes (11107 and 111077) can be removed using OUI and that 11201 should be removed with the deinstall tool?
And the deinstall tool removes also the databases (and listener, etc) on a server. That shouldn't happen. How can an old 11.2 oracle home be removed without it removing the database?
regards,
Ivan
