9.1 menu navigation difficulties

We are just exposing users to the new cascading menu in JDE Tools 9.1 and are getting lots of positive feedback however the one most frequent comments is around having to open or perform functions from the same menu.

When a menu is expanded and the application is selected the program opens and the menu is closed. In all previous versions menus once opened allowed the user to freely navigate items inside the open folder structure however in 9.1 it seems users have to continually cascade each time they want to open a new program. This seems to increase navigation clicks rather than reduce them.
