Project Management for Equipment Work Orders
A common requirement I get as a consultant is
a project management tool for Equipment Maintenance work orders. Maintenance
managers want to be able to schedule multiple maintenance work orders during a
production 'shutdown period' such as a holiday. They want the ability to see
all the work orders within that time period (e.g. 2 weeks), schedule their
start/ end dates, plan spare parts purchasing and labour requirements and then
capture all the actual cost in one bucket. They then want to report on these
costs. Job Cost (or Project Costing) is too much overhead for a 2 week period
