Updating Self Service HR after approval

Hi,

Our client is in version 12.1.2

I have a query in Self Service HR and don't know under which community this need to be raised.

Let us take overtime SSHR. After its approval, it can be updated for changes if any, and submitted once  again for approval.

We don't want any approved SSHR request to be updated.

Can this be handled via setup or thru customization only?

Please shed light on this
