How to Add a Button in Account Detial Page

Hi,

I have a need to Add a Button on the Account Detail Page.The Button when clicked will take user to an external program.I therefore need to pass parameter also like Customer Name, Location..etc....when user clicks the button. How do I acheive this.

Though Weblink is an alternative we wanted to use a Button
