Defaulting setup

Hi Team,Possible to add Attribute1 from sales order header level into Defaulting Attribute?

Business requirement is based on order type need to default the value on the sales order header DFF (Attribute1), if we add the attibute1 into Defaulting rule will resolve the issue.

I was tried to update the attribute1 in "Defaulting Flexfield" in Order management descriptive flexfield but it didn't work. Is there any way i can add that attribute?
