Calculating Sales Stage Duration

My users would like to see the number of days an Opportunity sits in different sales stages.  In Siebel 7.8 we created a view that used data in audit trail to make the calculations.  When we upgraded to Siebel 8.1 that view does not function as well.   So my question is in Siebel 8.1 is there a default way to obtain Sales Stage Durations? 

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks
