separate application schemas

Hi, We have a large database instance (no RAC, no ASM) whaich has many applications (schemas). There is an application in this database which is common to all the other application.

We want to move several application(schemas) to new databases (seperate instances).  The problem is that the databases need to share a particular application(schema) from the original database.

We do not want to use database links.  Should we use golden gate as a soultion ? Other alternatives ?  If Goldengate is the soultion, Do we need a license for it ?
