Set Mail Host in Notification Profile to external IP, not to localhost

Hello,

I installed Ops Center 12c on OEL 6.2. Now want to set email alert for critical incident. When create a Notification Profile, can I set Mail Host to IP of external mail server because localhost or EC is not set as mail server. Please advise.
