Linking Multiple Contacts together in CRM

 Hello,

What I am trying to do in my CRM is figure out a way that one contact can be linked to multiple other contacts in the same company. In this case it would be something like one contact having multiple managers. There is already a manager look-up field but only one and it doesn't look like there are other custom fields that can do this same thing. 

Does anyone know of a better way to handle this? Not sure if a custom object would be the best route but wanted to find out if perhaps that is the only route although it still wouldn't link the contacts together, it would have to basically be an open text field with the persons name.
