iStore DFF mapping to OM Order line DFF mapping

 I have a solution that requires transferring  istore based item-level dff values to OM order line DFFs.
When I set the iStore based item-level DFF, I was expecting that PTO model, selected options will have separate "additional information" links.   In iStore, I am only able to query additional information page for top level since the shopping cart summat page does not show the complete configuration 


Is it possible to update DFF for configured model, selected options separately so appropriate values are passed to OM order line DFFs.


For example, if iStore order have the model and selected option class and options, I want to be able to enter different values in the DFF for each.   But my research showed that the DFF was only useful with top level item "AAAA" and I could not find items A1, B2, C3 for adding individual DFF values.
