R12 upgrade - Duplicate Asset Numbers

Hello,We upgraded from R11i to R12 and we have some issues with asset data. In 11i instance we had the same number in multiple EAM organizations.
In order to remove the duplicates before upgrade, we added a org specific code to the end of the asset numbers to make then unique.
The update was done only to the mtl_serial_numbers table.
Now after the upgrade the work orders show incorrect asset numbers.
Do we have to update the asset numbers in the wip_discrete_jobs and wip_eam_work-requests tables as well?
Any help is apprecited..
