Use Approval Hierarchies option - HR Financial Options

Hi,

We want to use position hierarchies approvals in Purchasing and we have HR module fully installed.

Do we also need to enable the 'Use Approval Hierarchies' checkbox when HR is fully installed or this option is only enabled when is partially installed?
