Can standard seeded Item templates be deleted if not being used ?

 We want to inactivate or remove the list of Oracle seeded item templates since we are not using them.  We only use 3 custom item templates and the user would like to only see those in order to reduce possibility of selecting the wrong one. There is no "inactivate" or "end date" in the item template definition, but we can delete the records.

Is there a risk with deleting them if we are not using them ?
please advise.
