We will be building new data center and migrating all the existing databases from old data center to new data centre. In this activity in old data centre we have Oracle11g R2 Grid Infrastructure is installed on 3 nodes and created 10g and 11g 3 nodes RAC databases. In new Data Centre we will be creating new Oracle 11g Grid Infrastructure (3 nodes) as existing in source data centre and migrating 10g and 11g RAC databases to target by using RMAN back up and recovery.
Here need a clarity from you is the databases which are running in source data centre are applied with multiple oracle patches. So same patches we would like to apply in target as well. As I said we will be installing new grid and 10g,11g RDBMS software installed in target, we planning to apply same patches which are applied to databases in source. During software installation we apply all the patches to binaries level, during the migration anyhow we will be creating new database by doing RMAN back up and recovery from the source to target so in this scenario

Howdy, Stranger!
