BI Publisher and row-level security

 Hi All:   I’m new with Bi Publisher and I’m looking  a way to do row-level security with database data model.

 I have done some research and I have not found much so far … I found this paper http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-publisher/overview/wp-oracle-bip-row-level-security-132091.pdf

which is a pretty old document showing how to do it with VPD (Virtual Private Databases).

 

What we are checking is if exists something simple … like to read somehow a variable (get that variable from a SQL in the DB…similarly we are doing in RPD) and use that to filter out the SQL in the data model.
