update two fields in F4801

 I have an external application using xml interop. Is there a way to update two fields in the F4801 without using the standard business function(F4801BeginDoc, F4801EditLine, and F4801EndDoc)? 
Some similar to the RDA Table io Update would be nice. I have the key information just not enough for the business function and I don't feel like doing and inquiry and feeding the information back to the business functions to do an update.
