Rules Table X return of Price value in Configurator inaccessable

When I setup a X rules table to return the items price, the returned price is reflected in the X values in the lower right hand portion of the Configurator screen. They are also reflected in the sales order when  OK is selected.   However, I also need the value in a segment answer for more calculations and comparisons. How can it be setup to accomplish this?  I've found no SAR's  Rel E8.10 Thanks.
