Multi Currency for One Customer?

We do not currently use multi-currency but we have had a request from one customer to be able to pay us in his currency.  We are in the US and this customer is Canadian.

Our controller has looked through document 625458.1, Multi-Currency in Distribution.  In the Currency Codes Definition section it states "Each company can only have one currency".  Is our interpretation correct?  Would we have to set up another company to accommodate one customer?
