How to archive info in an existing table?

The database version is 11.2.0.2

One of our production table has about three year worth of data now.

Sometimes a simple query will run very slow.

Is there a way for me to archive the info in the existing table? Say for example, archive last two year worth of information.

If so, are there any documentation I can follow? Gurus, please advise. Thank you very much.
