Assets enabled flag is not checked after running update standard cost flag

Item ceq.12661 has costing enabled flag and assets enabled flag checked at Master Org and child org, and costing enabled flag is master-org controlled. Due to some unknown reason, the item cost is not generated for this item at one of the child orgs. I manually assigned the pending cost to this item and  ran updating standard cost program. The program completed successfully but inventory assets flag is not checked at item cost window so I have manually checked inventory assets flag. Why would assets flag be not enabled at item cost window for this item? The details are attached.
