Table type valueset error : Value XXX for the flexfield segment <segment name> does not exist in the

Hi,

  We have created a 'Table' value set to query values from a custom table, and is used by flexfield segment of COA. A new requirement is to disable some old values from the table so that users will not be able to see those values (for that segment) while entering future accounts. We did so by adding a filter mechanism in the Value Set WHERE clause. So from now on, it will show only intended values. So far so good.

Problem :

  When an old account that has reference to segment value that we filtered, is queried in GL or other subledgers (PA etc.), we are hit by the error
