Hello,

I'm a newbie to this group and need your help.  I have a user who is requesting the following; They would like to have the option in adjusting an asset(s) based on the percentage of total cost, which is to be amortized in a given year for the total life of the asset(s). How can I set this up or is it even possible?

Below is an example that was given, granted the life in years may be longer.

Say I have an asset with a total cost of 250,000. In the first year, I want to depreciate 150,000 using the STL method (12,500 per month). In the second year, I want to depreciate the remaining 100,000 with the STL method (8,333.33 per month). See example below. Basically, this would allow me to take a percentage of the total cost and depreciate it over a certain timeframe.

Howdy, Stranger!
