FDM Data Segment

I have the FDM data segments set to 150. There are approximately 120 locations.  The data sets are approximately 5-10 thousand rows.  Some locations have upto 20k rows.

 

If I have the number of data segments set at this number will it affect the performance?  I have talked with a few peoples and they mentioned it "might" have an impact on performance. Some users even set it to the max of 250.

This is an Oracle database
