ZFS + BCV copies of zpools

Hi,
we have a requirement to use TimeFinder/Clone copies of zpools in order to facilitate online backups - ie take a BCV of a running pool and import on a backup box.

There seems to be some confusion about whether this is a good idea or not.

There is a MOS doc - "LUN Copy Is Not Supported While ZFS Zpool Is Online (Doc ID 1316472.1)" - which suggests it is a bad idea.

But EMC are telling us it is fine and it is fully supported.

I wondered if anyone had experience of this they could share.
