Ever seen Errors "Cannot connect to the provider. Make sure it is running in the specified host/port. Error(12157)." and "Web launch operation has been cancelled." when opening Planning web forms in Smart view?
These errors happen if Hyperion Essbase has not been added as a server in the Shared Connections.

 To fix this:

  1. Open the Smart View Panel in Smart View
  2. Add an Hyperion Essbase server.
