Problems importing asset genealogy data

 I'm curious about the experiences of others using the asset genealogy import. I haven't found a suitable way to get this to work. I'm on Oracle EBS 12.1.1.

I've attempted putting data into the MTL_OBJECT_GENEALOGY_INTERFACE and then running the Asset Genealogy Import, but it doesn't look like that process is picking up the record. I'm testing it using the Vision demo data in the EM1 organization.
