CONNECTION WAS TIMEOUT. SQL ERROR when edit and updating a dataset in bipublisher 11.1.1.6.10

 Hi ,            we are using 11.1.1.6.10  and when we are editing the dataset with a new query we are getting sql connection timeoout error after 4 -5  minutes.  but same query against TEST database is running fine with no issues.

what exactly we are trying to do is:

my dba tuned the query and we edited the dataset and we replaced with the new tuned query and clik on OK then after 4 -5 minutes we are getting ERROR like " CONNECTION WAS TIMEOUT. SQL".  please let me know is there some parameter needs to change in application side  or may be on Database end?  please help me.
