PAY: Custom Sort for XML Checks and Advices

We currently use a 3rd party vendor to produce our checks and advices because we use assignment EIT data in our sort criteria. We want to discontinue 3rd party solution and start using Oracle's XML solution since it allows for sorting. My question is can we use assignment EIT data in the sort, or will we have to customize the processes, which will make them un-supported? Are there other clients out there doing something similar?
