Difference between FPO and Batch

Hello All,I am new to OPM and trying to learn. Please tell me what is the difference between FPO and batch? I think both are opening a production line. but Batches can be changes or reschedules but not FPO.
Pls confirm. 

 Also that will be great help if anyone can provide me a PPT or word document showing business process in OPM.Like Create formula --> activity --> resoure --? receipe.
