Open UI - Customization impact on iPhone

Hello Colleagues;
A customer has the following question for 8.2.x:

"Will iPhone users be affected if say Action, Account, Opportunity and Contact were customized with message boxes for business rule validations? "

Can you please provide a response for them. My idea is that this should not impact since is a fairly simple customization.
