Controlling Journal Line Descriptions

Currently implementing R12.  During user testing, we noticed that journal entries from Oracle Assets was showing "Journal Import Created" for all journal line descriptions.  In R11, our journal line descriptions included verbiage letting you know if the journal was an Addition, Retirement, etc.  The only solutions I have seen for addressing this issue in R12 requires posting to GL in detail which is not feasible for us.  I have created a custom Journal Line Description and changed the Journal Line Type to post in detail while having my "General Ledger Summarization" under Subledger Accounting Options set to "Summarize by GL Period".
