Ship Confirm Rule-Create Delivery for staged quantities

In Ship Confirm Rule setup.
If Create delivery for staged quantities is checked then it will create one delivery for all the staged quantity,

will it also keep the trip open or the trip closure can only be controlled by close trip checkbox.
