Manufacturing accounting for extra overhead
Can someone provide advise about manufacturing accounting process for extra overhead cost component (e.g. X1)?
We have standard product cost frozen to include material cost (A1) & extra overhead (X1). X1 component is fixed amount. There is no routing & hence no labor costs.
When WO is completed & accounting is run (R31802A), entries for finished product are created for A1 component of the cost but not for X1.
e.g.
A1 cost: $1
X1 cost: $0.5
Frozen product cost: $1.5
WO created for 1000 units. Parts list is added. Material is issued. WO is completed.
When R31802A runs, it creates IC & IM entries for $1000. There are no entries created for $500 for X1 cost.
