Dump File in Traditional EXP/IMP

Dear Experts, 

    I have a situation where in I have a requirement to import a dump file from a Third Party Vendor to be imported in our 11G database(Windows). The vendor has sent us the Dump File, I am afraid that I have to create some tablespaces  inorder for the successful import of the Dump File. 

   Could some one guide me how to see the contents of the Dump file to get the tablespace DDLS . I think  we can use STRINGS  command in UNIX to open the Dump File
