Role Switching

I am preparing a production environment for a primary-standby system and have encountered something which is not consistent with the test system after performing a 'switchover to standby1'.  (one primary and  one standby for the moment in two separate hosts in our case)

In the test environment, after the role switching with dgmgrl, I did see the log_archive-dest_2 parameter is cleared out in which the host is assumed the standby role.  But in the production environment I am preparing, log_archive_dest_2 is still holding 'service="production",....'

I wonder if I have missed something.   The test environment is using 11.1.0.1., and the one I am preparing is using 11.1.0.3.  Both are in Windows 2008R2, not sure if it is the factor.

Howdy, Stranger!
