Can E812 be upgraded to have tool release 8.98.x ?

 Hi, my customer is using E812 with 8.97.12 tool release.. After checked with MTR, their IE8 version is not supported...Can i know can i upgrade their tool release to  8.98.x above ?Their IE8 failed to display the Grid data export into Excel .....But only with CSV option available..
