Move EBS attachments from database to file system

 Hi,
We are planning to move EBS attachments like PO, Receipt from database to file system. We have built a mechanism to pull attachments from database and move to a remote server and update the attachments as "Web Page" In EBS.  Users are able to open the attachments from remote server successfully.

Question: The remote server URL is not secured in a way that any one in company can open the attachments with in company network. Just wanted to know if any one on community worked on similar project and handled security concerns?
