10g to 11gr2 RAC database upgrade

How to upgrade a 10g rac database of 65TB in size to a 11gr2 setup. Everyone's reccomending to do a  out of place upgrade which i agree.

THis is the high level plan i had in mind.

Create a new 11g cluster (grid user and everything)

Based on SAN replication replicate the asm disks from the 10g cluster to the new 11g cluster.

Modify the appropriate permissions to the asmdevices/disks to work with new grid user and other groups that were introduced in 11gr2.

I need some help after this.

Should i get 11g grid asm to open up the disks that got replicated from the 10g cluster and the add instance/database to it. And then just upgrade the database alone to 11gr2?  or is there a preffered way of doing this.

Howdy, Stranger!
