Can a CM trigger a PM using Meters?

Example: We have a PM that is scheduled to repeat every 6 months.  At month 5 a breakdown occurs and the scheduled work is completed as part of the CM, so there is no need to complete the PM one month later.

Our maintenance department would like to enter a meter reading that would reschedule the PM to be due 6 months from the date the CM was completed and the meter reading was entered.  They are thinking they want to set the meter up as days
