Field Validation on multi language

 Hi,
We have recently rolled out our application in different part of the world with multiple languages. Now we are having issues with the field validations, since they are based on Picklist values and are in English, so they don't work with the translations. it also throws the validation error message all the time. Any solution or suggestion how we can get around with this situation.
